This class is for anyone who has undergone or is undergoing breast cancer treatment and will focus on lymphedema education and reducing the risk of its occurrence. During the class, we will review the basic anatomy of the lymphatic system and define common procedures performed during the treatment course for breast cancer that affects lymphatics. Risk reduction strategies, including compression sleeves, will be reviewed in addition to the typical presentation of early lymphedema. Finally, a brief description of Axillary Web Syndrome will also be reviewed, and basic stretches/exercises to implement if cording is present.

Renown Institute for Heart & Vascular Health proudly offers the free Cardiovascular Support Group. Please join us if you or anyone you know has been diagnosed with cardiovascular issues. Meet and get to know the Cardiovascular Quality Team from the Renown Institute for Heart & Vascular Health on the second Tuesday of every month from 2-3 p.m. This group is open to all cardiovascular patients and their families. Learn about managing and living with cardiovascular issues in a supportive group environment. Virtual attendees will receive instructions on how to join the meeting the day before the event. Complimentary refreshments and informative materials will be provided!

You can attend this workshop in person at Renown Regional or virtually via Zoom. This workshop teaches mind-body techniques to help reduce anxiety, feel calmer, visualize your treatment in a healing way and enhance healing through activities that will bring you relief. Este taller incluye: Helping patients feel more connected, reducing fight/flight response and assisting patients to feel more at ease. Learning how stress impacts our bodies and our role in taking responsibility as a partner in recovery. Una sesión de relajación de atención plena. In this class, you will: • Meet your navigator and learn about cancer support services available to you • Hear about pre-surgery instructions and your pre-admit appointment • Receive education in rehabilitation and lymphedema • Have your questions answered about treatment, including chemotherapy, biotherapy, immunotherapy, radiation therapy and clinical trials Video-enabled attendance is available. This support group provides support, education, networking, and resource materials to caregivers coping with a loved one diagnosed with cancer. In effort to provide the most supportive atmosphere for those caring for loved one dealing with cancer, this group is for current cancer caregivers only.
